Sombrero's Adds New Menu Items

Southwest styled Sombrero's adds a little more variety to its offerings.

Open just under eight months, Southwest styled Sombrero’s felt it was time to offer more options to their customers and recently made some changes to its menu.

“We wanted to offer our customers some more variety to entice them to visit us more often,” said owner Mike Franchi.

Southwest pizza, Sombrero beef chili and wafflachos, which are seasoned waffle fries covered in nacho cheese sauce and sprinkled with scallions are a few of the new offerings along with empenadas. Customers can also build their own meals.

A PDF of Sombrero's menu can be found in the photo gallery of this story.

"Fresh ingredients can be comined to the customer's liking to create their favorite soutwest style meals," said Franchi.

Pricing adjustments have been minimal according to Franchi.

"We have adjusted some pricing slightly, both up and down on items where we felt we were too high or low, or where the price just didn't make sense in relation to a similar item on the menu," he said.

An average lunch falls in the $10 range, with most menu items running under $10. Customers can build their own burrito for about $8-9 or have a taco for about $3-4.

The restaurant offers dine-in, take-out  or counter service options as well as an outdoor seating area. Beverage choices include beer, sangria, margaritas and wine.

"Customers can expect a casual, family friendly atmosphere and the menu items are very reasonable priced," said Franchi.

Sombrero's is located in Tanzi Plaza on Indian Head Road, behind Tanzi Hardware.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
