Moe's to Open Thursday

The eatery, located on Route 111 in Smithtown, will be open seven days a week.

A new eatery will make its Smithtown debut Thursday.

Moe’s Southwest Grill, which took over the former home to , located at 77 Route 111 near  and , will open its doors to the public at 11 a.m. 

Owner Bill Mullaney, a Sayville resident who worked in nearby Commack at the Hampton Inn, said this is the premier location for the eatery. 

“[It’s] a big location, it’s a nice location, it’s in the middle of everything, really – Hauppauge High School, Smithtown East, Smithtown West, it’s right next to [Route] 25A and it’s on [Route] 111, a very, very busy street,” he said. 

Moe’s is a quick-serve eatery that specializes in southwestern style cuisine. Mullaney said he expects the core demographic of the restaurant to consist of high school students and small families.

The staff, according to Mullaney, largely consists of Town of Smithtown residents.

Moe's hours of opertion are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Moe's Southwest grill beats the competition flat out! Clean tiled floors, not cement slab floors, comfortable seating, no wood stools an tables, Great, Healthy,simple, tasty. inexpensive food, prepared with care and a sterile environment. Be objective and give it a try. IT's THE BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY, PERIOD!!!.

WE did...Commack 2x and tried Smithtown yesterday , thought possibly Smithtown was better.... still think it is awful.. I enjoy SW food and there are other places that are, by far , better, Of course it's clean it's new ! Are you a friend , relative of owner ? I was objective ,sorry ..I was with 6 others .. We all felt same way ..

Last night , around 5 30 PM , wife and I went ..We had a coupon and thought lets try this since we enjoy southwestern food . The place was empty, except for one table of 4 and alot of workers standing around . We decided to take out . The bill was $13 would of been $22 w/o coupon for a burrito , a quesadillia and 2 drinks . The food was .. not good at all.. to say the least. Set up like a subway except it s wraps not rolls. They quesa in one wrap folded in half .. the ingredents were in the center,... They first warm up wrap , add ingredients, fold it up and wrap it in foil,, Oh yea , you get nacho chips ,...
