Drinking and Dining Guide for St. Pat's Parade

Irish fare and drink abounds the town this Saturday. We've got the list on where to go.

All that parade watching can make a person hungry. Don't miss out on the great local specials and menus that are happening all throughout the town on Saturday.

“Get out there, enjoy and be a part of it," said Caroline Pumilia, a member of the parade committee. " We encourage the town and businesses to come out. Not everybody is even aware of the businesses that are in the community."

Park Lounge

The Park Lounge will be open at noon and will have regular business hours.  Guinness, Long Ireland Celtic and some other surprises on tap.

Kings Park VFW

Head over to the hall on Church Street before, during or after the parade to enjoy some Irish Fare. Breakfast is available at 9 a.m.  Food provided by Andersen’s Deli includes corned beef brisket sandwiches and dinners, Shepherd's Pie, hot dogs, pretzels, chicken noodle and cream of potato soup, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bagels, rolls and Irish Soda Bread. Beer on tap, soft drinks as well.

Dixie's Smokehouse

The barbecue hot spot is serving up some grub Irish style. Special dishes will include smoked corned beef brisket with suated green gabage and roasted red potatoes.

Shanahan's Bar and Grill

Open at 10 am. Free corn beef and cabbage plus all of the fixings, including Mrs. Shanahans award winning Irish Soda Bread. Live music by the Good Clean Fun band playing Irish favorites and various classic rock. Bagpipers, Irish Step dancers. Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks all on tap. Kitchen open all day for those not looking for the Irish fare. Can't get a drink inside? Outside bar open and ready to serve. The kitchen still cooking for the kids who haven't yet learned to love good Irish food.

Andersen's Deli

Party packages are available able to feed a crowd of 40 and up with traditional St. Pat's food. Corned beef dinners are also available as well as a la carte specials.

Relish

The restaurant will have an Irish themed menu starting with a full Irish breakfast of baked beans, black pudding and back bacon. For the day they will be serving corned beef and cabbage, Irish nachos and beef and Guinness pies and to finish a chocolate and Bailey’s cake.

Celtic Crossing Tavern

Opens at 9 a.m. Free corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings. Two Irish step dancer performances, bag pipe bands, plenty of Guinness and Irish coffee. Tons of fun giveaways. Watch for Celtic Crossing float with tossing giveaways for parade watchers.

Professor’s Diner

Specials all day long. Irish soda bread contest, winner gets $50 gift card to Professor's.  Corned beef and cabbage all day, Shepherd’s Pie, bangers and mash. 

Edelweiss Delicatessen

Sample some Irish bangers and Boars Head jumbo hot dogs, vendor carts on the sidewalk. Enter a drawing to win corned beef and cabbage dinners for four (to be picked up March 17).

Main St. Pub

Main St. Pub opens at 8 a.m. kicking off the St. Patrick's Day Parade early. $3 Draft Pints, $2 PBR Cans, $4 Bud Light 16oz Shamrock Bottles or $5 Guinness Pub Cans. Take Home a FREE Tee Shirt, hat or giveaway while supplies last. Dine on over 250 Pounds of freshly cooked corned beef and cabbage with white potatoes and rye bread. A donation of $1 min will be collected to help fund the parade. 100% of donations go to Kings Park St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. After the Parade, the bagpipers of IBEW local 25 will be perform.
