Ciro’s Expands To Hauppauge

Owners of popular Italian restaurant in Kings Park open an even grander venue in Hauppauge.

If there is a recipe for success, the owners of Ciro’s Italian restaurant in Kings Park seem to have it. After moving to a more spacious venue on Main Street in Kings Park a mere 14 months ago, the owners opened a second location at 470 Wheeler Road in Hauppauge right before Memorial Day.

“It was the right opportunity. I think that the restaurant is a good fit for the area,” co-owner Matt Acerno said, adding that the Kings Park restaurant is busier than the owners ever imagined.

“Business just exploded there,” said Acerno, a 2004 graduate of Hauppauge High School , who is on hand to meet and greet customers at the new location.

The menu that customers have come to know and love in Kings Park will remain the same in Hauppauge plus there’s outdoor dining and live entertainment on Friday nights, Acerno said.

The new place also boasts numerous wide screen TVs and a huge bar where people can gather for Happy Hour, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Monday through Friday, and enjoy half-priced drinks.

Acerno said the venue in Hauppauge was “already a pretty nice space” that the new owners embellished.

Diners, expect to be dazzled. The architecturally elegant soaring interior is a class act which boasts numerous dining and gathering areas decorated impeccably. Awash in yellows, browns, greens and ebony, it’s the colors of Tuscany served up with a modern palette. Chandeliers cast a golden glow while accoutrements such as gilded mirrors, crystal sconces, recessed ceilings and adept use of molding spell refinement. As in the Kings Park location, vintage-style posters extolling the wonders of wine add a touch of whimsy.

The restaurant, which will do catering in addition to hosting corporate gatherings, is open for  lunch and dinner, Monday through Saturday. Although the restaurant is closed on Sunday, it is available for private parties.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!

We tried callingRead More it but it ran into the st. johnland nursing home and wouldn't come to me when I tried calling it over. It looks like a shepherd mix and seems a little frightened.
