Triumph, which turned to Walt Whitman Shops for its first-ever store in the United States, specializes in helping customers find the right item with “tailoresses” who ensure the right fit.

Plans Approved for New 7-Eleven on Gibbs Pond Road

A Bay Shore developer has gotten approval to raze a local eyesore to construct a new 7-Eleven on Gibbs Pond Road. Smithtown Town Board voted to unanimously approve site plans to construct a 7-Eleven in Nesconset, on the northwest corner of Gibbs Pond Road and Smithtown Boulevard intersection.

Panera Bread Collecting Turkey Donations for Those in Need

Panera Bread, located at the corner of Jericho Turnpike and Larkfield Road, is now holding its annual Turkey and Trimmings Collection Campaign with Island Harvest Food Bank to give families in need a holiday meal this season.

The restaurant is asking its neighbors to donate frozen turkeys and non-perishable food items at before Dec, 24.

Purity Spa Prepares to Open Friday in St. James

Smithtown and St. James residents looking for a bit of pampering will find there's a new spa opening in time for the stressful holiday season.

St. James resident Kerri Wilson celebrated the grand opening of Purity Spa in St. James Galleria on Friday, Nov. 15. It is located at 556 North Country Road in St. James.

Christmas Store Opens

From ribbons and bows to lights and decor, Everything Christmas, which opened Nov. 15 at the King Kullen shopping center in Commack, has it all.

Residents will remember Everything Christmas from two years ago when owners Howie and Pam Frank were located within Borders bookstore in Commack before the bookstore chain filed for bankruptcy in 2011. Now, the husband and wife team are back for the Christmas season with a pop-up store next to Moe's Southwest Grill.
