Don't Miss: Dancing on Main Street with Louis Del Prete

Show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Louis Del Prete, a talented DJ, musician and dance instructor will teach the merengue and provide music for ballroom and Latin dancing this Friday at Russ Savatt Park as part of Musical Moments in Kings Park series.

Del Prete, a talented musician, dancer and singer is also accomplished on drums, keyboards, and trumpet.  His musical  career began at the age of 13, when he joined his mother and father, Rosann and Luis, in performing with the Perry Lane Orchestra at the former Island Squire Restaurant in Middle Island.  Del Prete's mother was a member of a popular all-girl band in the 60’s, the Female Beatles. His father toured the United States with various bands as a trumpet player with a sound like Harry James, according to a release.

When Del Prete is not playing music, he is dancing.  An accomplished ballroom and Latin dancer, he has taught dancing on cruise ships and now teaches group and private lessons and runs many dance venues on Long Island.
