Don’t Forget: Musical Moments Kicks Off Third Season Friday Night

Show opener will be local musician Nancy Faber.

Musical Moments will open its third season of free, live, outdoor events in Russ Savatt Park on Main Street in Kings Park with a concert by Snap on Friday night at 7:30.

This four-piece band was a big success at Musical Moments in 2012 and concert goers will have a second opportunity to enjoy their unique R&B, funk and dance music.

Clem Allen, the leader of the band has been part of the music scene on Long Island since the 1980’s.  He attended the Center for the Media Arts in Manhattan where he studied Audio Engineering and Music Production and has also done studio writing, arranging and song production for various artists, including his wife Kim Allen. Other members of the band, all of whom have over 25 years in the music business, are Nate Glenn, Tim Dorsey and Ahmad Ali.

Nancy Faber  will open the show with a performance of country music.  Faber attended Kings Park schools and is a 2013 graduate of St. Anthony’s High School in Huntington. 

Musical Moments in Kings Park will present ten, live concerts and a dance night this year.  The concerts are made possible with support from the Kings Park Civic Association, the Kings Park Chamber of Commerce, the local business community and funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and is administered by the Huntington Arts Council, Inc.
