This Saturday, the will hold its 2nd Annual Picnic & Family Fun Day at 1:00 p.m. at the Commack Fire Department.

Kelly and Steven Weisse, Sean’s parents, said their son’s dream was to grow up and invent something to help children overcome learning disabilities or to speak to children at schools and let them know it is possible to learn.

To keep Sean’s dream alive, family and friends created the Sean Weisse Foundation, whose mission is to help children with learning disabilities.

There will be food, ice-cream, rides, games, face painting, a dunk tank and a Chinese auction at the picnic.

In an effort to achieve the foundation’s goal of making sure all children successfully learn to read and write, all money raised will go to provide awareness, training, equipment and learning techniques to children with learning disabilities.

Sean’s dad, Steven says, “We are having a great year and we have already helped get tutoring for dyslexic students. We look forward to helping more students this year.”

Donations for raffle baskets are still welcome.
