Weekend Planner: Family Feast, Festival and Fireworks

St. Anthony of Padua's Feast and Festival on Fifth Avenue in East Northport runs through Sunday.

 

This Friday night's performance has a little twist. Get ready to dance your stress away. A tango lesson will be given by Tango Lovers of Long Island and a mixed Ballroom Dancing will be on the agenda for the night's entertainment. Friday night 7:30, weather permitting in Russ Savatt Park. Bring a chair.

Rides, games, food and live entertainment every night of the festival which runs throughout the weekend. Fireworks display on Saturday at dusk.

Design Your Own Shirt

Design your own “Nature Shirt” using colorful paint and a cool collection of nature stamps.  Bring one light-colored t-shirt and a large paper bag per person. Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Dress for a mess.

The Bluegrass Club of Long Island hosts a bluegrass jam on the first Sunday of every month at the Smithtown Brush Barn, the jam starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.

The series kicks off Sunday with The Great American Classic Rock Show. The show is free. Bring chairs, picnic dinners and enjoy the show.
