Thai Food Still on the Menu on Main Street

A new Thai eatery will take the place of a former Thai eatery on Kings Park’s Main Street.

Bangkok Pavilion will fill the space of Sarin Thai Cuisine, which has been closed since January, for what owners said was a family emergency. Sarin's Kings Park location opened in 2011. Sarin's Greenvale location, which has been in business for over 15 years, remains open.

Detour No More: Landing Avenue Bridge Reopens Friday

Smithtown and Kings Park residents who have been finding alternate routes for nearly a month due to the closure of the Landing Avenue Bridge can kick off their weekend with what should be a less trafficked commute.

Should Smithtown Town Officials Face Term Limits? 

As primary season heats up for the November elections, Smithtown town board candidates are throwing their support behind setting new term limits. 

Smithtown Councilman Kevin Malloy said his first action if re-elected to the town board in November would be to support the creation of a 12-year term limit, Newsday reports. 

West Nile-Infected Mosquito Found Near Kings Park

A mosquito sample taken near Kings Park, from East Northport, has tested positive for West Nile, according to Suffolk County health officials.

It is one of 17 samples across the county testing positive. The samples were taken between August 13 and August 16. Other areas include Huntington, Greenlawn, East Northport, Northport, Nesconset, Dix Hills, West Islip, Bay Shore, Holtsville, Selden, and Port Jefferson Station.
