Roadside Activists Say Impeach Obama
A stand was set up on Tuesday morning outside of the 7-Eleven on Route 25a in Kings Park by members of a political action committee who said the'd like to see President Barack Obama impeached.

Matt Guice and Daniel Burke, members of LaRouche PAC, are hoping to gain some support and trumpet the political platform of Lyndon LaRouche, an eight-time presidential candidate, now 90, from the mid 70's until 2004.

Swastikas Found at High School Have Police Seeking Public's Help

Three swastikas have been drawn or etched at Kings Park High School in the past three months according to police, who are asking the public for help in finding out how they got there.

According to Suffolk County police, the first swastika was drawn in pencil and discovered on April 17. Another, drawn in marker was found on May 24 and the third was found on June 4 and was etched into a metal covering for an access panel.

Town Officials Reject Carlson Associates' Site Plans
Smithtown Town officials have rejected last-minute site plans submitted by a Kings Park developer in attempts to abide by court orders. 

Smithtown officials say Toby Carlson, of Carlson Associates, submitted site plans to the town's Planning Department by the court-imposed deadline of June 19, but the plans are ambiguous, Newsday reports.

Board of Ed Approves New Texting/Social Media Policy
Kings Park school officials hope tougher penalties for inappropriate texting and social media use will serve as a deterrent to stop students. 

The Kings Park Board of Education unanimously approved changes to its students code of conduct focusing on inappropriate use of social media tools, texting and cell phone use, at its June 25 board meeting, Newsday reports.
