Turkey Time In Kings Park

This fine fellow should stay low for the next few days.

Have you seen this feathered friend around the neighborhood?

A turkey was on the loose and spotted wandering on Boxwood Drive over the weekend by resident Ally Elish-Swartz and her daughter, seven-year old Phoebe, who wonders what will happen to this bird.

"I saw a wild turkey on Boxwood Drive. It was going to get eaten by a cat. Luckily it went into somebody's backyard. Will the turkey chase the cat or the cat chase the turkey? Who knows?" pondered Phoebe.

Let us know if you see this turkey around town.

I don't think the cat would stand a chance unless the turkey is injured and cannot fly. @kathie Molly and Sadie were on the trails Monday looking for Taz and Syd?

@Dave - Taz and Sydney are on the trails every day, sometimes even at "your" time." I have not seen any of the usuals lately - you, Ed, Debbie, or Gabrielle, a.k.a. my dog-walking buddies. I used to be able to set my watch by you people, but now - "poof!" I look forward to seeing you soon, and Taz and Sydney look forward to seeing Molly and Sadie! p.s. There was a big and beautiful male deer strolling down the trail today. The dogs were either in awe or in fear, because they didn't even move. It was funny!

@kathie I've been really busy so we have been going to Callahan's to play ball instead as I can get back to work quicker. As I've packed on quite a few pounds I've got to get back on the trails again. We hope to see you and the guys there soon, Friday if it's sunny.
