Third Time's A Charm For Musical Moments In Kings Park

Friday night's concert brings out crowds.

Over two hundred concert-goers filled Russ Savatt Park last Friday night for the first installment of the Musical Moments in Kings Park free concert series. Canceled twice due to rain, Friday’s beautiful weather brought out an eager crowd.

“It’s absolutely marvelous that we are doing things like this in Kings Park,” said resident Susan Mulligan. “We need to do more.”

With a picnic-like atmosphere, Musical Moments opened with the sounds of The Acoustic 5, featuring Gary Pumilia.  Playing popular songs from such greats as Elvis, The Beatles, Johnny Cash and the Everly Brothers, the band encouraged the crowd to sing along.

Presented by the Kings Park Civic Association and the Kings Park Chamber of Commerce, there are five more concerts planned in the series.
