The Week Ahead: School Budget Vote, Library Events

Here's what's happening this week in and around Kings Park.

Women In Long Island’s Past
Dr. Natalie Naylor, founding director of the Long Island Studies Institute at Hofstra University, will discuss her new book, Women in Long Island’s Past: A History of Eminent Ladies and Everyday Lives in the Smithtown Library’s Long Island Room on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

School Budget Vote
The annual school budget vote and board of education election for the Kings Park School District will take place on Tuesday from 6 a.m.- 9 p.m. Residents can vote at Kings Park High School in the rear gymnasium.

Build a Bug Cage
 Build your own double-compartment bug house and study two species simultaneously. This bug cage features a wooden divider in the center and a door on each end for easy access to both compartments. Monday, Smithtown Library, 5-6 p.m.

HIA-LI Business Trade Show & Conference
