Summer Sunset Shimmers at Sunken Meadow

Patch reader Bridgette Kistinger offers an evening view of Sunken Meadow State Park.

Sunsets and beaches are two things that can create unforgettable summer memories.

Patch reader Bridgette Kistinger grabbed her camera and headed down to Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park on Monday. Kistinger captured breathtaking photos of the summer sun's last rays catching on the water, outlining swimmers and lifeguards in its shadows for a high contrast view of the beach.

Looking at these photos makes us long for more carefree summer nights, as summer moves into August.
