Spotlight Event: KP Psychiatric Center Walking Tours

Town historian Steve Weber leads a walking tour discovering the property's past and purpose.

A walking tour is being conducted on the much storied, and somewhat mysterious grounds that house the now shuttered Kings Park Psychiatric Center.

The tour, led by Kings Park historian, Steve Weber, runs about three hours and covers the buildings along Kings Park Boulevard.

"The grounds are most beautiful in the fall with the colors of the season," says Weber. "Temperatures are more comfortable and less vegetation blocks the views."
