Smithtown Public Libraries Close Early Thursday Before Storm

All four branches to have a delayed opening at 1 p.m. Friday.

Smithtown Special Library District has closed its four buildings early in preparation for the winter storm predicting to hit Long Island this evening. 

Smithtown Special Library District announced its four branches in Smithtown, Nesconset, Commack and Kings Park are closed as of 4 p.m. Thursday. The buildings will be on a delayed opening at 1 p.m. Friday, instead of its usual time at 10 a.m.

All programs and events originally scheduled for Friday morning will not be held. There is no word on whether or not the events will be rescheduled as of Thursday afternoon.
