A car wash fundraiser is being held this weekend to raise money to replace the American flag that stolen from the front of Kings Park High School last month.
The boys from Cub Scout Pack 75 will be washing cars on Saturday from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. at the high school.
“We are trying to right a wrong,” said Jim Brauer, pack leader. “We are trying to teach the boys that people do wrong things, but it is important to try to make it right again.”
The total purchase price of the flag is $675, and Brauer said anything raised above that will go to the high school’s food pantry.
