Room Rededication for Former Library Branch Director
Ceremony will honor Peter McCann Gillard.
The Peter McCann Gillard community room at the Smithtown Library, named for a former library director will be rededicated on Aug. 7.
Gillard was branch head for Kings Park and then became Directory of the library from 1979 to 1988. The room was originally dedicated in 1987. A plaque in his honor will be unveiled. The event is being held at the Smithtown Library from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
