These photos were submitted by Kings Park resident Francis L. Mercuri who says that photography is a hobby he has had since his early years.
He returned to his love of taking pictures after retirement at 69 years old and began using digital photography when he was 70.
Mercuri told Patch that he believes that seniors should pursue their hobbies as long as they have their health and enjoy their retirement.
Mercuri has traveled extensively throughout the United States, all by car, which he says is the best way to see the country.
