Oct 20: Seniors Singing, Author Speaking, Planning Meeting

Activities and articles to fill your Wednesday.

Smithtown talent is on display this Wednesday, with a talent show at the senior center, a local author's book premier and other entertainment up and down Main Street tonight.

Have something to put in our 5 things column? Add it to our calendar.

1. Local author Jeb Ladouceur will be speaking at the Book Revue in Huntington at 7 p.m. It's this 50-year Smithtown resident's fifth book launch. Take a drive out and show your support.

2. Smithtown seniors will showcase their talents in the annual talent show at the senior center today.

3. Check out Smithtown East student Justine DeRosa's column today on class cell phone use. Are you a student in the Smithtown district interested in a writing career? E-mail amandaf@patch.com.

4. In the mood for a laugh? Attend comedy night at Molly Bloom's or karaoke night at Rockwell's.

5. Keep up with Town of Smithtown planning and development. There's a Planning Board meeting tonight at 8 p.m. at the senior center.
