Kings Park Rangers Softball Team Headed to Championship Series

Girls come out on top after previously difficult season.

A local girls softball team has earned a spot in the playoffs.

Friday night, the Kings Park Rangers, 10U travel softball team, won their first play-off game 6-2 against Longwood Thunder, earning them a spot in the championship series, best of 3 games, against North Bellmore Lady Rebels. 

Stephanie Mah told Patch in an email that she was especially proud of the team.

"This season comes on the heels of losing practically every game last travel season," said Mah.

The first two games of championship will be played on Saturday at Saw Mill Elementary School in Bellmore.
