Residents wishing to help the community of Sandy Hook can participate in a local school supplies drive being held at Kings Park Dance Center.
Sandra Moletta, owner of the studio, said friend Nathalia, who works at Momentum Fitness in Fairfield Connecticut, is running a school supply and teddy bear drive to help out Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Students from the school will be attending classes in the chalk hill building, which is about 20 minutes away from the Sandy Hook school.
Items being collected are:

New teddy bears
Backpacks
Lunch boxes
For the school
Art supplies
Pens, pencils and markers
Scissors
Paper
Notebooks
Glue
Staplers, staples, tape
Office Max gift cards
Organizers said cards with words of encouragement for students and staff can also be included.
Kings Park Dance Center is located at 85 Main Street in Kings Park.
