Why Go: Everyone dons green for St. Patrick's Day, but don't forget about the other 364 days of the year. Go green daily by bringing redeemable bottles and cans to Leteri and help raise money, which will then fund local projects.

Why Go: Peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese, vodka and olives. These are life's great pairings, and Martini Night at Grafton is a chance to enjoy all sorts of mixed martinis at discounted prices.

Where/When: Staller Center For The Arts; Friday, 8 p.m.
Why Go: Some say the greatest instrument is the human voice, and if you want to see proof why that may be true, a King's Singers concert is it. The six-piece vocal group won a Grammy in 2009 and they've played in Royal Albert Hall and Windsor Castle.

Where/When: New Discovery Day Camp; Saturday, 9-11 a.m.
Why Go: The annual Kings Park 15K is not for the faint of heart, or those with a fear of heights, as the 9.3-mile run will take you up some pretty steep hills. Proceeds go to a group of charities which aid those with brain tumors.
Pricing: $20 per runner
Where/When: The Park Lounge; Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
Why Go: Shave your head as part of the Third Annual St. Baldrick's Fundraiser. Kings Park Barbershop will be doing the trimming and Jim Pavese is the event host.
