Georgetown Cupcake Raffle Returns to Kings Park Farmers Market

Winner gets one free year of Georgetown cupcakes.

Do you like cupcakes? If so, there's one sweet upcoming raffle that will benefit local students - and cupcake fans alike.

This Saturday is a chance to buy tickets the Kings Park Civic Association, in conjunction with Friends and Farmers Inc. , annual Georgetown Cupcake Raffle.

The KPCA has teamed up with former Kings Park residents Terrence Noonan, producer of TLC's reality television show “DC Cupcakes”, to sponsor a raffle of a year's worth of free cupcakes.

All proceeds will go into a scholarship given by the Kings Park Civic Association to a local high school student. A dozen cupcakes will be sent each month to the winner.

Tickets will be sold at the farmer's market on Sunday. The raffle will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29. 

The Kings Park Farmers Market is held on Sundays from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the municipal lot on Main Street.
