5 Events For the Weekend

Here are a couple of ways to spend your weekend.

Poetry readings, jazz and dance are just a few ways to spend this weekend.

1. Café Portofino is hosting a poetry reading Friday night wit Muriel Weinstein. Reading begins at 7 p.m.

2. The Smithtown Township Arts Council hosts . Jazz musicians of all levels are invited to bring their own instruments and join in the music.

3. Check out at the Frank Brush Barn n Smithtown for some old-fashioned fun. Dance begins at 7:45 p.m.

4. See at the John Engeman Theater in Northport. Show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $60.

5. The Kings Park Heritage Museum presents on Friday. The event is free and takes place at the RJO auditorium.
