Farmers Market Sprouts on Sunday

It's fresh, it's regional and it's finally here.

Getting your daily intake of fruits and veggies just got a little tastier with the opening of the Kings Park Farmers happening this Sunday at the town municipal lot on Main Street.

The market, which is being held in partnership with the Kings Park Civic Association and Friends &Farmers opens at 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will run through mid November.

Produce is not limited to just fruits and veggies. Shoppers can expect to find fish caught off Long Island waters, grass-fed beef, eggs and cheeses.

“We are looking forward to supporting local producers in addition to strengthening our community ties and downtown business area by bringing a farmers market to Kings Park,” said market organizers Aly Elish-Swartz and Ann Marie Nedell.
