Event Spotlight – Golf For The Kids
Tee-off for a great cause this Monday with Chabad of Mid Suffolk.
On August 22, the Chabad of Mid Suffolk will hold its second annual golf classic at Indian Hills Country Club.
The Golf for the Kids golf outing was established to help the children of our community,” explains Joel Blitzer, one of the event’s sponsors and organizers.
“This outing will help families who can’t afford a Hebrew education for their children and help the Chabad enhance Jewish educational programs in the community,” says Blitzer.

The golf outing is open to everyone. The price is $300 dollars per golfer, which includes lunch, cocktails, and dinner.
Each golfer will receive a gift basket and there will be awards, raffles and auctions throughout the day. Prizes include TVs, a computer, sports tickets and memorabilia.

There will be two Hole-in-One contests. First prize is $25,000 and the second is a two year lease on a Mercedes Benz.
For Rabbi Mendel Teldon, director and spiritual leader of the Chabad of Mid Suffolk, it’s about more than just prizes.
“It is so nice when a bunch of people can come out and have a good time while supporting such a cause. There are many children out there who will be helped by Monday’s events. It is such a win-win for all,” says Teldon.
Registration can be done through the Chabad of Mid Suffolk’s web site and will be accepted through 12:00 PM the day of the event. Sponsorships are also available.
