Pasta Dinner Fundraiser for the Lenardi Family

The Knights of Columbus and the Kings Park Soccer Club are holding this event in support of the Lenardi family who lost their daughter Lauren after a two year battle with a rare form of cancer.
Lauren's fight ended on March 1, 2013. Over the past two years, the Lenardi family put in all of their resources into treatments to save her young life. Friday, 5 p.m.

Bring your family and friends down to Sportime to tour our facility, meet the staff, race on our obstacle course, play tennis & more. Learn about our upcoming summer camp programs for your children.

SCOPE Adventure Camp Open House
Come  and hear about all the great adventures children have at the SCOPE Environmental Adventure Camp.  Camp runs from July 8-August 9, 2013.  Field five at Sunken Meadow State Park, Friday, 4 p.m.

Smithtown Art Council's Winners Fine Art Showcase
The Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to announce Winners Showcase 2013, an exhibition featuring the work of award-winning artists from STAC’s 2012 juried exhibitions, May 18 – June 14 at The Mills Pond House Gallery in St. James. 

Regular Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 10 am-5pm; Saturday and Sunday, 12-4pm. Closed Holidays. Call 631-862-6575 for more information. Admission to the gallery is free. The public is invited to an opening reception on May 18 at 2 pm to meet the artists and view their work.

Fun for Families and Kids

Lil Chefs Cook Up Fun with Food at Smith Haven Mall
 Aspiring  young chefs and little foodies are invited to get a taste of just how fun fare can be at Simon Kidgits Club Lil Chefs, an annual event designed to get kids learning about the craft of cooking and all things food.  

Smith Haven Mall’s Lil Chefs event will take place on Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Center Court.

Wildlife Baby Shower
Celebrate wildlife babies and support Sweetbriar as it gears up for the Spring and Summer season, when we care for many orphaned and injured animals. Meet animals and see how a baby squirrel and baby bird are cared for. Take a nature walk to find signs of animal homes where baby animals are being raised and make craft. Sunday, 1 p.m. 4:30 p.m.

Kings Park Farmers Market
The market offers regional produce including vegetable, herbs, fruits, plants, baked goods, and a variety of fish and shellfish, eggs, cheeses, pasta, pickles and fair trade products. The market will also stock gluten free products, handcrafted soaps, poultry and pork.
Drop the kids off this Sunday at the Abrakadoodle tent for some more free crafts and face painting while you browse the locally grown goodies of the many vendors at the Market.
The farmers market is located in the municipal lot at Church and Main Street and is open from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. and will run until November 17. Visit their Facebook page here.
