DEC Official to Address Community Concerns at Civic Association Meeting

The Kings Park Civic Association meets Thursday evening at 7:30.

A representative from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be a speaker at the Kings Park Civic Association meeting Thursday night.

The DEC rep is expected to discuss the agency’s responsibilities and enforcement procedures as well as recent community concerns regarding the east side of the Kings Park industrial area.

The DEC recently issued a warning letter to the Gesuale site on Lawrence Road, directing it to cease accepting vegetative debris and submit a plan to better manage the material already on site.
