Cooler Weather, Cool Photos and a Battle at the Library for Tuesday

Your daily guide to what's happening in the community.

Good morning Kings Park, here's a look at what's happening on Tuesday.

-Skies look like they are clearing, but keep a watchful eye as there may be some showers.

-The cooler weather may have eager for some outdoor exercise. Why not take a stroll at the Sunken Meadow boardwalk. If you opt on taking your kayak out at the bluff, beware. A rescue took place there on Monday after a family of three were swept under the docks.

-Speaking of the bluff, we wanted to share with you some of the photos that folks have been sharing with us on our Facebook page. Stop back in a bit and check out the gallery we have put together from our local photogs.

-Did you know there is a battle happening today? A battle of the books that is. This County-wide competition is intended for young adults who will be entering grades 6-9 in September. Teens must read eight books and answer trivia questions about the books. Tryouts will determine who will make the final team of six. Kings Park Library, 3:30 p.m.
