Area Yard Sales for June 11 and June 12

Antique tea cart, Coach bags, and sports memorabilia among items for sale.

The weather is beautiful, which means yard sales galore. To help with your treasure hunt, Patch has compiled a list of this weekend’s area yard sales.

This week’s shopping tip – be sure to look online at the Consumer's Product Recall List to see if any items you are looking to purchase, or have purchased, have been recalled, especially baby items.

Saturday, June 11 only

10 Somers Lane, Commack. Garage sale. All types of items. 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

486 Townline Road, Commack. The Commack United Methodist Church will hold a Multi Family Community Garage Sale.  In case of rain the yard sale will be held indoors. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

21 Gildare Drive, East Northport. Garage Sale with items including furniture, weights, exercise equipment, brand new J Crew items, Coach bags, top of the line fishing reels and rods, electronic equipment, Bratz doll house, Calico corners dollhouse, Bratz limo, curtains , pillows, dishes and much more. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

106 First Avenue, Kings Park. Garage sale. 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

4 Cliftwood Place, Kings Park. Multi-family garage sale with items including three bedroom sets, decorative and everyday house ware, electronics, toys, books, fireplace, large size clothing, teaching books, CDs and a lot more. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

41 Thompson Street, Kings Park. (Cross streets 25A and Old Dock Road) Garage sale with items including small pieces of furniture, frames and things for the home. Something for everyone. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

29 Mayflower Avenue, Smithtown. (Off Main St. and Edgewater - 2 blocks over from Brooksite Drive) Yard Sale. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, June 12 only

30 Redwood Drive, Dix Hills, Garage sale with items including household items and Bohemian Crystal. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12

507 Elwood Road, East Northport. Multi-family garage sale with items including like-new toddler bed, double stroller, gently used little girls & boys clothes, games, toys, household items and much more. 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

14 Cliff Drive, Kings Park.  Multi-family garage sale with items including goods, sports memorabilia, brand name clothes, glass patio table and more. 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

79 Norwood Avenue, Northport.  Huge Multi- family garage sale with items including antique trunk, antique tea cart, antique tea set, antique Oriental rugs, antique rocking chair, antique organ, jewelry, games, toys, dog collars, children’s clothes, doll house, window fans, folding chairs, movies, office supplies, butcher block counter top, dart board and much more. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Apparently you are not the only one this is happening to. From what I understand if these signs areRead More on a main drag somehow they are disappearing in the middle of the night. Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
