In times of need it’s nice to know you can count on the help of friends, family and community. The generosity of others can make all the difference to a family who is suffering. Here are five ways to help the people who need it in your community.
1. Raise money in support of . Celtic Crossing is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday evening. Admission includes open bar and food.
2. Kings Park in the kNOw will attempt to break several world records this Sunday, September 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kings Park High School track. All proceeds from the event will benefit Kings Park in the kNOw, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eradicate illegal drugs and substance abuse in the Kings Park community.

3. . Help Kings Park Youth support additional sports teams for the middle school by attending their family BBQ at Shanahan’s Bar and Grill. Fun starts on Sunday at 3 p.m.
4. Help the Berry family who suffered a tragic loss due to a car accident. Attend Simplicityon Sunday at 11 a.m.
