5 Events Happening This Week

A round up of events happening this week in Kings Park.

 

Blood Drive

St. Johnland Nursing Center is having a blood drive on Monday from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. in the Kipp room of the center. Anyone who gives blood will be entered into their raffle.

Board of Directors Meeting

The Kings Park Soccer Club's Board of Directors meets the first Monday of every month at the Nissequogue River State Park. The meeting is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m.

Board of Education

The Kings Park Board of Education is meeting Tuesday evening at 7:30 in the high school. Agenda items include the budget hearing and recognition of the science fair winners.

Meet the Candidates Night

The Kings Park Board of Education and the League of Women Voters will be hosting a meet the candidates night at 7 p.m. at the high school. are running for two Kings Park Board of Education seats during this year’s board of education election: Michael Kelly, Diane Nally and Charles Leo.

Children's Book Week

Children's Book Week is Monday, May 7 through Saturday, May 12. Celebrate Smithtown style and join in for a special storytime in which local authors and illustrators will share their children's books. Nesconset branch of the Smithtown Library.

Hmmm, now I wonder who or what organization could be doing this illegal act? I'm not going to make an educated guess who could be involverd in this deed but I think if Kings Parkers do some research they are smart enough to figure out who does not want the real facts of the "Uplands Project" to come to light. Displaying these signs is a way of making the public aware of the atrocity of this project. Questions will then be asked. Making a night run to remove them is, at the least, a cowardly act that should be publicized every time it occurs!
