It's below freezing out, but we have a list of places to thaw for those who dare to venture outside.

In less than a minute, it's easy to feel the record-low temperatures chilling your face, numbing your fingers and creeping past your jacket. Those who dare ventue outside in Kings Park will need a way to get warm. 

We've put together this list of the 8 hottest places to wait out the freeze, or thaw out after heading outside. 

Cold? Try treating yourself to: 

*Park Bake Shop
This Kings Park bakery, located in the center of town off Main Street and Old Northport Road, is always and warm and bustling. Sit down and grab a hot cup of coffee with a fresh bagel, donut or other pastry of choice and sit to watch the bustle of Main Street. Stay put long enough and you'll run into the regulars in town.  

*Bangkok Pavilion
Warm up with some spicy Thai cuisine at Bangkok Pavilion, located at 25 Main Street in Kings Park. Taste test a number of different spicy dishes, indicating whether you'd like a mild, medium or hot dish to your server. This restaurant is true to level, so better be brave and cold if you order your dish 'hot." 

*Professor's Diner
A Kings Park staple, sit down at the Professor's Diner to grab a quick cup of coffee or sit down to soup and a sandwich on Indian Head Road. Make sure to ask what the soup of the day is. 

*Dixie's Smokehouse
If you're relying on your tastebuds to bring back to the warmer days of summer, you have to pay a visit to Dixie's Smokehouse at 12 Indian Head Road in Kings Park. This restaurant specializes in Texas barbecue and rotisserie cooked meals.
