• Kings Park administrators will host a Common Core roundtable on Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. to discuss questions, concerns and issues about the new curriculum at Kings Park High School. 
  
  
• Smithtown Board of Zoning Appeals will be hosting its second meeting of October on Tuesday, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the Eugene Cannataro Senior Citizen Center on Middle Country Road. Watch Patch this week for more information on what's on the agenda.

• Kings Park girls volleyball vs. Bayport-Bluepoint, 3:30 p.m. 

•  New York State announced on Monday it will pay to upgrade the septic systems at five state parks, including Sunken Meadow State Park, after a study found they are not in compliance with current standards.
