There's No Answer At the Verizon Store [Empty in Kings Park]

The wireless store closed shop.

Customers of Verizon Wireless on Indian Head Road may have recently found that there is no answer at what used to be the Verizon store.

The store was vacated about three weeks ago, without warning, and now lies empty. According to a representative at Verizon, the store was independently owned authorized retailer, but not affiliated with Verizon.

Does Kings Park need another wireless store? What would you like to see here?

I hope they put a pizza place there or maybe a nail salon or a deli.

I have to say - that gave me a pretty good laugh. Let's not forget the option of another bar, either!

KP needs smething new...there are far too many nail salons/ pizza parlors/ barber shops already. Lots of people have been waiting for a Starbucks, can't say I disagree!

The comments were a joke - there's a whole lot of the same thing in Kings Park. As for Starbucks, after multiple other coffee shops and eateries have failed here, I have no idea why they would open one up in Kings Park, or where one could be placed conveniently.

An new upscale hair salon. Right near the train station and has parking. I am always shocked that there is not a D&D or a Starbucks near the train station.

As Marc Goldstein mentioned in another thread, an Auto Parts store would be a great addition to the town. Perfect place for it, too. Large enough space, no need for major parking, centrally located for deliveries to the surrounding local repair shops. I'm sure speedy delivery to these shops is sorely missed since Mathis & Mighty Motors went out. And that was some time ago. Not to mention, do-it-yourselfers have to trek out to Smithtown or Commack for the nearest auto parts store. Not a bad idea at all...

Auto Parts Store. KP sorely misses a decent Auto Parts store in town. One has to travel all the way into Commack or Smithtown for the closest Auto Parts...
