Pedestrian Struck On St. Johnland Road

Brittney Williams, 24, of Kings Park was seriously injured in the crash.

A Kings Park woman was seriously injured Wednesday evening when she was struck by a car on St. Johnland Road.

According to police, Brittney Williams, 24, of Kings Park, was apparently in the middle of the roadway when the collision occurred.

Valerie Connors, 48, also from Kings Park, was driving a Ford Fusion, southbound on St. Johnland Road, near Rumford Road when she struck Williams. Connors was not injured in the crash.

Williams was transported to Stony Brook University Medial Center, where she was admitted in critical condition with head trauma.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. According to police, all calls will remain confidential.
