This past weekend's Jazz Fest had quite a few toes tapping. The Kings Park Heritage Museum, in celebration of African American history month hosted the Friday evening show at R.J.O. Intermediate School. The show, now in its fifth year, featured local musicians, high school musicians and some seasoned players all meshed together to make for some beautiful music.
The show will be renamed next year to be called the Ranny Reeve Jazz Festival in honor of Kings Park jazz musician and teacher, Ranny Reeve. The legendary Mr. Reeve has been teaching and performing throughout Long Island for over fifty years
The night culminated in a jam sesssion between all musicians and a special piano solo by Reeve.
